Currently: Co-Founder @ Comon Our mission is to create a social media platform focused on community + content, and the value it creates, both online and offline. Come join us. Previous: *Penultimate year @ university, I co-founded two projects: (1) 24hrChallenge.com (2) "BINK" mobile payment system Final year: I began taking poker seriously as a profession & have traveled + played professionally for 2+yrs upon graduation. Simply put, I genuinely loved what I did; the analytical side, the risk assessment under pressure and especially the psychology. I woke up in the mornings happy and raring to play. In my opinion, that's what life & work should encompass. My long term direction has and surely will continue to trend towards entrepreneurial enterprise, either my own or for a project that peaks my interest and one that I can add value to as a VC. Anything I commit to will be given a 100% and you'll see my passion for it; otherwise, I'd just reject the offer. As a poker player, I believe I understand risk and its assessment better than most others in varying industries; we deal with day by day, minute by minute variance and our acceptance of its risks are based purely on EV (expected value) on a very personal, monetary level. Detaching emotion and replacing it with purely mathematical solutions to (a) maximise EV (b) disassociating oneself with risk aversion and creating structures that are logically sound. Doing so, whilst the risk we face has very real implications on the daily numbers in our bank account, gives us an edge and calm that cannot be taught.
