I have been a software engineer/architect that specializes in large scale data driven web applications primarily focused on social networking and ecommerce platforms. My technology focus initially revolved mostly around Microsoft offerings. I have always been a "right tool for the job" kind of guy though and have found myself spending more and more time with Docker and Node lately. I have spent the past 7 years working in and out of the AWS and Azure clouds with most of my time lately being dedicated to AWS. I now find myself eagerly marching towards GCP and dockerizing "all the things". I have written many books. More than half of which are technical. I enjoy running and speaking at user groups and conferences. I am an ASP Insider and have been an Azure Advisor from time to time. Specialties: I have worked at all levels - programmer, architect, manager, director, CTO, instructor, author, build/automation, and SDLC implementation. I mostly enjoy team building and solving hard problems (which aren't always technical). I'm always available for a consulting role.
