I started my professional career as a musician and educator in multiple school districts in Houston and Austin, TX. From teaching music lessons to running rehearsals and masterclasses, I urged my students to practice perfection. Using lessons learned from the dedication and persistence I used to become a successful performer, I decided to broaden my knowledge of the world by pursing a more technical expertise. In my electrical engineering career, I naturally progressed into leadership roles by bringing innovative ideas to the Dell EMC server development process. Because furthering my education is such a vital part of my personality and seeing the power of data, I entered into the Data Science Immersive at Galvanize. By focusing my education on data science, I feel empowered to help organizations and businesses have a greater impact on their target audience. Because one of my life goals is to leave the world a better place than I found it, and I plan to use the skills I learn through Galvanize to work in the healthcare industry.
