As a curious youngster, my parents came home and found their computer in pieces scattered around the floor....I just wanted to know how it worked! Always curious and a bit overly ambitious I built my first web page back in 2000, when my grandfather gave me a book on HTML, CSS and Javascript. From those early days as a 9 year old "playing" on my grandfather's PC (and tearing apart my parent's computer), I knew I wanted to work in technology. While still in high school I started to dabble with WordPress themes. I started to freelance and after my first successful site (my grandfather's) and couple of clients, I went on to start my first company MySportHighlights.com. MySportHighlights.com created recruiting highlight tapes for athletes. With MySportHighlights.com we started to build out a social media-esque platform and I built a LAMP stack MVP. After getting into the market one of our advisors gave us the advice to move to a more scalable business, instead of a lifestyle type business. I started to freelance again and shut MySport's doors in 2013. Since that first “tech” company I have focused the last 6+ years on technology and startups. I co-founded PointStart, a digital agency that serviced the Toledo area for about 2 years. I am currently working at Neighborhoods.com / 55places.com as a Sr. Javascript Developer in Chicago.
