This is a definite must read. Kissinger 1923 - 1968: The idealist - Niall Ferguson I love Ferguson's approach to writing - his detail and research are unimpeachable. Not being American I really only had a distant view of the divisive Kissinger. People I know with an opinion either love him or hate him but never seem to have more than an broad idea of why.
