Bio

Hello I'm Paul, I am currently a Research Engineer IV at Cisco Systems in their Sourcefire/Talos Security Divison. Prior to that I was an engineer at Southwest Research Institute based in San Antonio until April 2016. During my tenure there I have been a part of multiple projects within the aerospace industry. Most notable is NASA's mission to study the Lunar Poles. That mission was a success where we discovered indications of water on the Lunar Polar Surfaces as well as provide highly detailed maps of features that had not been discovered until now. In addition to that mission I also have served on the a multinational team where I developed and built the database for mission hardware requirements, milestones and QA testing. My focus has not been solely systems engineering or research. I was part of a team that developed an rapid prototype embedded system for a DARPA contract award. I have participated in the assembly, integration and testing of a NASA cube-sat mission for 8 identical systems. I also was on of the test leads for thermal vacuum testing (TVAC) for critical mission hardware for the same cube sat mission. My background is a BS in BioPhysics with a Math minor, I am finishing a MS in Software Engineering with a focus on project management, requirements management & development, verification & validation and user interface development. I am a current graduate student at UT McCombs School of Business as a candidate for a MS in Technology Commercialization degree.
