Angie brings a unique skill set and experience to a development team. Her excellent interpersonal skills allow her to effectively communicate with a diverse group of clients and colleagues. Angie's passion for building successful businesses is refreshing, and her positive energy is contagious. Out of college Angie became a series 7 licensed stockbroker. In this role she learned the value of setting goals, being persistent, and thriving in a competitive, performance based environment. As one of very few women in the office, she quickly adapted and excelled in this environment. After her first daughter was born, Angie made the courageous decision to homeschool her children. For the next decade and a half, she chose curricula, taught daily lessons and achieved measurable results. Angie considers the outcome her greatest achievement. Throughout the time she homeschooled her children, Angie worked on various entrepreneurial and sales endeavors, honing her consultative sales techniques. She learned to actively listen and uncover a potential client’s needs and pain points. Angie is skilled at engaging people, building instant rapport and leading them from interest to action. It was during one of these projects that Angie became interested in digital advertising and began managing successful Adwords campaigns. She is a Google Certified Adwords Specialist. Once she discovered the power of the internet to engage people, Angie knew she wanted to learn to code and create meaningful user experiences. She enrolled in Thinkful's Web Development Bootcamp and learned full-stack web development. Angie met with a professional developer/mentor three times a week and worked on a series of web applications. Angie's language of choice is Javascript. While she has the skills to build full-stack javascript applications using Node/Express, Mongoose/MongoDB, and Mocha/Chai, Angie particularly enjoys building web apps with React/Redux and utilizing the capabilities of version control.
