Bio

I'm an engineer with a passion for translating early stage science and technology innovations into commercial products / services. I have led development efforts for more than 500 scientific innovations, yielding more than 50 intellectual property licenses and the formation of 10 technology startups at UT Austin. My background in science, engineering, and business have allowed me to be uncommonly effective in opportunity analysis, developing product launch strategy, cultivating strategic partnerships, building investor relations, and negotiating complex agreements. These efforts have established a foundation of knowledge in innovation management and technology commercialization strategy that I leverage daily to guide recommendations and decisions. Over time I have been provided the opportunity to share this experience with others around the world through deployment of evidence-based innovation management & entrepreneurship education programs. I am a passionate advocate for the power that integrated, experiential learning techniques give to accelerate and solidify learning opportunities. To date, I have advised commercialization strategies for more than 2,000 early-stage scientific innovations and mentored more than 1,000 entrepreneurs worldwide.
