Jason Ferrell currently serves as Vice President & General Manager for helpIT systems. Previously, he was Director of Business Development at Onit, where he focused on marketing strategy, sales execution, and process design concepts, with the aim of leveraging the Onit product portfolio into new markets. Prior to Onit, Ferrell worked with an early-stage venture capital investment firm, G-51 Capital Management, where he gained extensive experience working with CEOs in more than one thousand venture investment opportunities, designing processes for G-51’s international associate program, and marketing to institutions to raise the next G-51 venture fund. Prior to his early-stage startup experience, Ferrell played many essential roles in the fast- growing mid-market division of SHI International, where he designed a go-to-market strategy and accompanying processes and software solutions that gave SHI the competitive edge to win nearly one billion dollars of the IT reseller market in fewer than three years. At SHI, he also managed sales for a $20 million partnership with a small, but highly successful, software startup, and managed marketing partnerships with several large partners including Dell, HP, and Apple. Additionally, he developed SHI’s first formal internship program, and architected several business intelligence solutions. Before SHI, Ferrell founded the University of Texas’ first peer-reviewed neuroscience journal, Texas Neuroscience Review, and worked in a number of neuroimaging laboratories with experiments focused on understanding underlying human brain function in neuroeconomics, decision making, and emotion regulation. He holds bachelors of arts in philosophy and neurobiology and a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
