Founder, Chairman, and CEO of PortalBlocks Networks, an Austin Texas company, which offers Process Oriented Solutions. Prior to this he was the co-founder, Exec. VP, and chief force behind the creation of Infosel en Línea, the first portal in Latin America, which was subsequently acquired by Terra Networks for over $300 million as the centerpiece of its Latin American portal strategy. Mr. Rodríguez has participated in several national and international conferences and task forces on the development of the information age, and is one of the most-recognized technologists in Latinamerica. In addition, Mr. Rodríguez is a Jury Member of the Stockholm Challenge, a non-profit initiative of the city of Stockholm in partnership with the European Commission by which King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden awards the best worldwide information technologies initiatives. He was also awarded iBest “Entrepreneur of the year” 2001. Received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, México (ITESM) in 1983.
