Leah Houston practiced emergency medicine across the US for nearly 10 years before moving to the digital privacy space. As a locum tenens physician I worked in 11 different health systems in 3 different states. I experienced first hand the administrative burden of the onboarding and credentialing problem, and experienced professional identity theft that lead me to create the HPEC/evercred solution.

We have built a zero trust credentialing solution for practicing physicians solving the $5B frustrating & friction filled identity verification, onboarding & credentialing problem for physicians and those who employ them and pay them. The plan is for our cutting edge technology that is built on open standards to be leveraged to usurp huge sectors of our $3.9T healthcare system. It currently takes 2 to 6 months to onboard and credential a physician. This process then has to be repeated every two years for compliance purposes. This problem costs up to $1 million, and physicians lose $100K in lost income per onboarding credentialing event. Until now there has been no verifiable and trusted source of authentic data regarding physician credentialing. We make the practicing physician the primary source of their data fixing this problem permanently. Our system will streamline the on boarding process and will fix regulatory privacy compliance issues permanently.
