Bio
Grace "Thuy" Brown joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2019 as an associate, in the firm's Austin office, where she specializes in tenant representation including lease negotiations, renewal, expansions and relocation. Grace left Saigon, Vietnam with her mother at the age of three to escape communism, later reuniting with her father in Houston, Texas. After graduating from high school, she Honorably served in the United States Marines for four years.Grace then put herself through college; graduating from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she majored in public relations with a minor in business. After receiving her degree, Grace went to work for a Xerox Austin agency, as well as Commercial Security Integration (CSI) – an Austin based security company, and Texas American Title. Grace later broadened her skill set and transitioned into the world of commercial real estate; accepting a job with Granite Properties in Houston, Texas. As a leasing assistant for the landlord; she learned to negotiate leases for five buildings totaling 1,523,557 SF of office space. Being on this side of the deal gave her great exposure to all the workings from the inside; therefore, being an asset to her clients.Returning to Austin, Grace joined Trimbuilt Construction, Inc. a local commercial general contractor in the Austin market for 35 years, specializing in tenant improvements as an assistant project manager and business development representative. Grace brought in $12 MM of opportunity; which, $11,651,169 MM closed.Grace's vast experience in a variety of industries allows her to understand the needs of her clients, work on complex projects and foster team work in any organization she is a part of – including her latest endeavor joining Newmark Knight Frank.
