I wanted to do something big to celebrate my 50th birthday, so I decided to run 100 miles in less than 24 hours. I finished the Yeti 100 with a time of 23:51:43. I apply the same tenacity to everything I do. In 1999, as a young lawyer seeking to prove the value of his business skills, I knew that telecommuting could increase employee freedom, reduce overhead, and facilitate expansion. I launched a pilot project. I proved the capabilities of the infrastructure by moving to the Washington DC area in 2002. Not long afterward, I began investing in real estate. I enjoyed the real estate business much more than I enjoyed the law business. In 2013, I left my law firm and got my first real estate license in Maryland. For a time, I served as general counsel and managed some business development functions for a tech company, but I never kicked the real estate bug. In 2018, I got my second real estate license in California. From an early age, I understood the power of leveraging emerging technology. The first paid work I ever did in my life was in the early 1980s. I got the gig by pitching my father to do some work for his law firm on commission. I was in grade school. After overhearing my father's frustration with his office’s giant “word processing machine,” I told him I could make an Apple computer do what he needed to do. He told me if I could write the program and demonstrate it would work, then he would buy me my own Apple to have at home. A few months later, I had one. Throughout my life, I have refined my approach to business by recognizing the potential of emerging technology and incorporating it into my operations. This year, I will leverage technology to expand my business again. I'm excited about the direction I'm heading. Let's connect and help each other move forward.
