I co-chair the Firm's intellectual property group and am a member of the Firm's Diversity Committee and Technology Committee. I have government and private industry experience in a broad range of intellectual property and technology areas, including all aspects of intellectual property protection, focusing on electronics and other high-technology issues. My experience includes advising clients on ownership of patents, trademarks, copyrights and domain names; providing counsel on intellectual property portfolios, including what protection to seek and where; licensing opportunities; and preparing and prosecuting patents, copyrights and trademarks applications with various federal and state governmental agencies. Prior to practicing law, I had extensive design and test experience in communication systems for both military and commercial applications. I am currently on the Board of Directors for the Colombian Folkloric Ballet and was on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Bar Association of Houston (2009-2011) and a member of the City of Bellaire's Building & Standards Committee (2007-2009).
