Bio

15+ years of practice in the digital space and beyond has contributed to the formation of my personal approach to UX - I call it "Beyond Digital"​ thinking.Often UX practitioners are preoccupied with "users"​ and "screens"​ - but think about how the story changes when we shift our focus to thinking in terms of "people"​ with lives already full of things - folks who are most certainly not 100% focused on their screens and the experience we're serving up. Using a "beyond digital" approach to create compelling digital experiences means taking a holistic approach to solving any given UX problem - whether it involves a screen or not. This in turn provides a foundation for crafting compelling interactive experiences with interactions that are quick, meaningful, personalized, and useful.I'm a hands-on team leader and mentor, an expert-level user of the Adobe Creative Suite and multiple wireframing and rapid prototyping applications, with a background in Art Direction, visual design, and front-end web development. One of my priorities (actually, pleasures) is maintaining a solid grasp & understanding of emerging technologies and platforms. I'm also currently an MFA candidate at Texas State University in the Communication Design program
