An adaptable healthcare professional, I worked for a startup for 3 years as it progressed from a two-doctor mobile equine veterinary practice with a home office, through the challenging permitting and construction phases, into a surgical referral center. I understand the continuum of care in a hospital because my role progressed from receptionist with some practice management duties to Chief Surgery and Pharmacy Technician.Since that time, I returned to UT Austin, studied health sciences, and graduated from UT's Health IT Certificate Program. I serve on the board of directors for the Austin HiMSS Chapter and try to do my part to promote Health IT in Texas.
