Join us for a 2.5 days of intense training and hands-on support in Holochain architecture, design principles, and distributed app development! We're holding a Holochain Hackathon / workshop with the Holochain team just following the Rebooting the Web of Trust conference RWoT9. The Hackathon will put emphasis on the topics of decentralized identity and Self-Sovereign identity, but will still be open to all projects and persons interested in building on Holochain. Some of the themes and projects possibly worked on during the hackathon: P2P credentials in education, sharing cities, verifiable news, eHealth, local currency for the 1st Czech Ecovillage and more. Two chosen teams will have a chance to participate at the Odyssey hackathon - world's biggest blockchain-related hackathon in Netherlands, April 2-4, 2020! *Please share a bit about you in our participation form when you register: https://olf91c2v.paperform.co. Who is it for? Developers, network architects, project owners, and other geek-folk interested in building scalable, fully distributed, agent centric P2P apps Those interested in decentralized digital identity, especially Self-Sovereign identity solutions People interested in developing various currency systems - from local currencies, through mutual credit to P2P accounting Regenerative economy and P2P commons enthusiasts You don't need to be a programmer to attend - we welcome designers, business developers and others! Objectives We aim to facilitate sharing of know-how and catalyze collaboration within the local and regional Holochain communities, as well as provide a boost to growing Holochain community in the CZ. We'll be encouraging the teams to produce a tangible output by the end of the hackathon. It can be a MVP, a presentation of a concept or design, or just a distillation of learnings - but we're biased towards creating (rather than discussing) ;) We're encouraging open-source sharing and cooperation to nurture the ecosystem. You're welcome attend either as team or as an individual - we'll help matching up teams and project ideas beforehand as well as during the hackathon. Schedule The program is going to be built around the needs and desires of the group. We’ll have regularly scheduled meals and a couple of brief all-group sessions at the start and end of the days. Most of the work/play/learning will happen during scheduled as well as emergent sessions, (self)organized in accord with Agile principles.
