Come join Galvanize and Women Who Code to get the inside scoop on how to land your first software engineering job!
The first half of the event will be an all-women panel discussion to showcase the different professional paths chosen by software engineers and how they landed their first job.
The second half will be a special talk by Nick Fredman on the three major steps to finding your first full-time job as a software engineer. These are the mindset, technical skills, and the search process.
About The Speaker:
Nick Fredman was a software engineering instructor at Galvanize Austin. His background is in building and managing teams of engineers. He's worked at startups like Green Chef as a Director of Product Development and Evolv as a Director of Sales Engineering. Before that, he ran his own software consulting agency and worked in video games. He's an avid rock climber, distance runner, and meditator. He holds an MBA from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a BA from Indiana University.
