Are you graduating soon, or thinking about a career change? Have you considered a career in tech, but felt discouraged because you don't have any previous tech experience? We're here to tell you that it's possible to find an amazing and fulfilling job in tech, especially if you don't have any previous coding or general technical experience. That's right, no previous coding or technical experience required. Join us at HubSpot's main headquarters in Cambridge, MA for free lunch, an afternoon of interactive sessions and panel discussion, and a chance to connect with HubSpot Customer Support Specialists & recruiters about their experiences. Hear Chris talk about how he prepare his teams at HubSpot and what you can expect day-to-day working in tech. After this session specifically, you'll walk away knowing the skills and knowledge that can help you prepare and succeed in a technical job like Customer Support, especially without any previous experience. HOW I KNEW THIS WAS THE CAREER FOR MEHosted by Troy Pierre-Louis (Customer Support Specialist) & Kate Stadt (Technical Writer) Hear from two HubSpotters about their personal experiences working in tech so far in their careers. You'll learn what motivated them to pursue their respective roles at HubSpot and how they've been able to build a career they love. After this session, you'll walk away with valuable tips about what to consider for your first/next job and more perspective about what a role at a tech company could look like for you and what you can learn about yourself along the way. INTERVIEWING AT A TECH COMPANY AND HOW TO TALK ABOUT YOUR OWN EXPERIENCESHosted by Danielle Walters (Customer Support Manager) Interviewing is one of the most important skills to develop during your career search, but we know it can be intimidating, especially if you aren't technical and are applying for a job in tech. Learn from Danielle, a manager on our Customer Support team, about what the interview experience is like at HubSpot from her perspective as an interviewer and how you can showcase the experiences you have during a tech interview. After this session, you'll take away valuable tips to help you not only succeed in interviewing at a tech company like HubSpot, but also feel confident about how your experiences can translate into a career in tech. FAQs Who is welcome to join the event? Anyone interested in HubSpot or learning more about working in tech! Will food and drinks be provided? Yes, we will have light lunch options as well as refreshments, and it's all on us! Can I learn about open positions that I can apply to? Yes! Our goal is to provide an open and welcoming space for you to hear about life in a tech career, and ask questions about roles, our teams as well as the interview process with our teams and recruiters. Will I need to bring a resume? Resumes are not required for the event. All you'll need to bring is yourself and an open mind to learn. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The easiest and most accessible method to HubSpot is via the MBTA. We are conveniently steps away from the Lechmere Station on the Green Line. If you will be driving, there are several parking options available. Parking garages on First Street (cash-only) and the CambridgeSide galleria are available to attendees. There is also metered street parking on First Street and surrounding streets (info here).
