A one-day workshop on the Analysis of Life History Data with Multistate Models with Professors Jerry Lawless and Richard Cook from the University of Waterloo, is the latest in the increasingly popular and high-quality series of workshops offered by the University of Calgary Biostatistics Centre (UCBC), a centre within the O'Brien Institute for Public Health.  The workshop, which is free to attend, will present models and methods for multistate analyses, and will describe some current topics of research. Software for conducting analyses will be discussed and software code for specific problems will be given. A wide range of illustrations involving chronic disease and other conditions will be presented. A good knowledge of regression modelling is a prerequisite, and survival data analysis background is recommended.
