Join the Silicon Valley SBDC, the County of Santa Clara, City of San Jose and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley and the Industry Council for Small Business Development, for informative and inspirational workshops, networking and resources for you and your business, in celebration of National Small Business Week. Registration begins at 8:00am - 9:00am Presentations, Workshops and Business Matchmaking 9:00am – 12:30pm Networking will be located in the Breezeway: 12:30pm – 1:00pm Workshops will include two tracks that will take place in the Board Chambers and Isaac Newton Auditorium: PROCUREMENT WORKSHOPS: Construction: Bay area organizations discuss their specific needs in construction, engineering and construction related services. Information Technology: Information technology is rapidly changing. Listen as a variety of organizations discuss their current and future plans in the IT space. Operations: It takes a broad array of products and services for organizations to maintain operations. This workshop will focus on the needs of several organizations in this broad category. BUILD YOUR BUSINESS WORKSHOPS: Certifications: Have you thought about what certifications are right for your company? This workshop will help you decide what certifications you need to stay competitive. Subcontracting: Sometimes the best way to a contract with a specific company is through that company’s prime contractors. Learn more about opportunities in the subcontracting space. Access to Capital: What lenders are looking for? Access to capital is critical in preparing for a contract. Find out more about: preparing for a loan, eligibility guidelines, and financing options available. Also learn how to receive support in completing a loan application. Bidding: Effectively responding to a bid is critical to the success of your business. Learn what corporations look for in a winning bid. COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA OPPORTUNITIES: Business matchmaking opportunities will become available with representatives from select County Departments/Agencies.
