In this free hands on workshop for educators come learn how to run an ELISA (Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay) within the context of Panda Breeding programs. We will use Bio-Rad's Giant Panda Problem kit as the backbone of the workshop where we will cover the plight of panda conservation over the past 40 years, use manupulative models to understand how an ELISA works and use that modeling to develop a protocol to test for wether or not a captive female panda is ready to breed. In the process we'll also learn a little about hormonal regulation of ovulation in this species. You can get access to the powerpiont I'lll be using in the workshop, the curriculum manual around the lab and other tools here: http://bit.ly/PandaELISA You can get access to similar folders of teaching tools around any of the Bio-Rad kits here: http://bit.ly/DamonTighesBioRad This is a great lab for educators teaching AP Biology, Biotech or Environmental Science courses or for people that just love Pandas. If you have any questions, just let me know. -Damon [email protected]
