Blockchain has become a huge buzzword in the tech community, and Hack Reactor @ Galvanize is excited to offer an educational sprint to teach you general blockchain concepts by walking you through building your own. You should finish with basic working knowledge of hashing, signing, consensus algorithms, and the blockchain data structure itself. Schedule: 10:00 - 10:45: Intro the exercise, concepts 10:45 - 12:30: Paired work on exercise 12:30 - 1:30: Lunch (provided) 1:30 - 2:00: Mid-exercise Q&A 2:00 - 5:30: Paired work on exercise 5:30 - 6:00: Review + Q&A What to bring: Laptop and charger How to prepare: For those using Atom: install "Teletype" which allows you to pair code with two laptops For those using VS Code: install "Visual Studio Live Share" which allows you to pair code with two laptops Be sure to register for a fun day of learning and networking with fellow Galvanize alum!
