Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd, based in Broomfield, Colorado, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the 80-year-old Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Based at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC) since 1996, the company’s 110 employees primarily conduct interior and exterior completions work for the PC-12 NG single-engine turboprop and the PC-24 twin-engine jet business aircraft delivered in North and South America. Approximately two aircraft per week are delivered to customers from Pilatus’ new 118,000 sqft facility located on the northwest side of the airport. In addition, the company manages the sales and service network for Pilatus aircraft in the Western Hemisphere, including technical support, parts distribution, marketing, administration, and maintenance training. Tom Aniello is the Vice President of Marketing for Pilatus Aircraft. An Aerospace Engineering graduate of the University of Kansas, Aniello worked in the Advanced Design group at General Dynamics Ft. Worth Division before transitioning into marketing business aircraft. He spent 14 years in the marketing organization at Cessna Aircraft Company, ultimately working his way up to lead the global marketing team for all aircraft, flight training, and support services. Now in his 14th year as the head of marketing for Pilatus, Aniello is pleased to return to his AIAA roots and speak about Pilatus’ growth in the business aviation industry and his career working in the “fun zone” between engineering and sales.
