The valuable and unique skills you learn and acquire in a Master's Program are not only vastly transferable, but adaptable and essential across all industries. As social workers, we are often confined to traditional and stereotyped career paths, hindering us from unexpected entrepreneurial opportunities. Have you ever asked yourself, “What kind of work environment do I see myself in?", or, "Where can I best utilize my skill set with a social work degree?” If so, join the students of L.E.A.P. (Lead, Empower, Act, with Purpose) on Tuesday, April 3rd for an eye-opening night of looking at social work through a uniquely unconventional lens. L.E.A.P.’s mission is to motivate and inspire future social workers. Our events offer a fresh and stimulating perspective on how to apply your social work degree to non-traditional opportunities that fulfill your commitment to making an impact. L.E.A.P.'s third event will feature energetic, inspirational, experienced and entrepreneurial keynote speakers, students from varying NYC social work schools, and interdisciplinary professionals from our field. Director of Brand Strategy at Collective, A DEI Lab Andrew Hill: Entrepreneur, designer and innovator with a deep-rooted passion for improving lives by leveraging software technology. Co-Founder of LiftEd; Named to the 2018 Forbes "30 Under 30" List Dr. Joanne Hill-Powell: Behavior analyst consultant, advocate and educator. Co-Founder & Chief Data Scientist at LiftEd Bianca Crystal Reid, GSS '10, LMSW: Bianca Crystal is a Licensed Social Worker, Movement Specialist and Doula.
