Event: Kalachandji’s and the Crow Museum of Asian Art present the 2nd annual Festival of Joy When: Saturday, March 30th, 2019, 12 noon – 8 pm Venue: Dallas Arts Distrcit- Klyde Warren Park The 2019 Festival of Joy is the kick-off for the Dallas Mayor’s Cultural Month. Where: Dallas Arts District – Parade begins at Dallas Museum of Art on Flora Street https://dma.org, culminating at Klyde Warren Park https://www.klydewarrenpark.org Time: Parade Procession starts at 12 noon and arrives at the park around 1:30pm, where the festival will continue until 6 pm. Highlights: Participants will pull the colorful chariot by hand along Flora Street to Klyde Warren Park, accompanied by the singing of ancient Sanskrit mantras and the sounds of traditional musical instruments. The park’s main stage will feature non-stop classical music and dance performances, and there will be a variety of cultural and educational exhibits including traditional craft and cooking demos, yoga and meditation instruction, face painting, mehndi (henna tattoos), traditional dress-up, ethnic street food stalls, and a free vegetarian feast Web site: dallasfestivalofjoy.com
