GCSW 50th Anniversary Celebration: The celebration continues with the 3rd annual Speaking of Social Justice, Maconda Brown O'Connor Distinguished Lecture featuring Jesmyn Ward, Author of Men We Reaped. The Speaking of Social Justice, Maconda Brown O’Connor Distinguished Lecture brings authors of books selected from the Dean’s Summer Social Justice Reading Series to the University of Houston. Books are chosen that explore issues in keeping with our College’s vision of achieving social, racial, economic, and political justice, local to global. The books and accompanying lecture speakers are selected to heighten our sense of awareness and spark the conversations necessary to achieve real and lasting change.Please join us for the second event during our yearlong 5oth anniversary celebration!
