The board of directors of the FWD Users Group is pleased to announce the 27th Annual Meeting. It will take place on September 9-11, 2018 in Boise, Idaho. It is sponsored by the Idaho Department of Transportation and Boise State University. The meeting offers an excellent opportunity for information exchange, and if you have any questions about FWD equipment, data collection or analysis you can most likely get them answered. The meeting will be held at Boise State University. Dates: Sunday September 9, 2018 – Calibration Center Operator’s Meeting (2 pm to 5 pm), – Pre-conference Reception (evening) Monday September 10, 2018 –Technical Sessions (8 am to 5 pm) and evening dinner and event Tuesday September 11, 2018 – Technical Sessions (8 am to noon) Please visit our website and join the FWDUG mailing list at: www.fwdug.org CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS Informal presentations are solicited on all topics related to Falling Weight Deflectometer and Rolling Wheel/Travelling Speed Deflectometer use, lightweight deflectometer use, integrated data collection with other technology including GPS, ground penetrating radar, video imaging, data analysis, back-calculation, equipment calibration and maintenance, and personnel training. MEETING AND LODGING INFORMATION Meeting Location The meeting will be held at Boise State University at the Student Union Building located at 1700 West University Drive, Boise, ID 83706. Hotel Information The conference hotel will be the Holiday Inn Express, Boise-University Area, 475 West Parkcenter Boulevard, Boise, Idaho 83706. The hotel is located a 5 minute drive from the Student Union building and provides shuttle service to and from the Boise Airport as well as the conference venue. Standard Single King Occupancy Rooms are $93 plus tax. This rate is available from September 8th to the 11th. All sleeping rooms are subject to an early departure fee equal to one night’s room rate plus taxes. If you book and then leave the day before your scheduled departure rate, the early departure fee will apply. The hotel room cutoff date is August 25, 2018. After this date, there is no guarantee that you will received the conference rate. Each guest must make his or her own reservation by calling 208-345-2002 before August 25, 2018. They must identify themselves as member of the FWDUG to secure the $93/night rate.
