This is a 3 day short course aims to support intercalating medical students (academic or other reasons) coming back to Clinical Medicine (finals/year 4/other years)! The course is scheduled to run the week before Year 4 and 5 starting back in September. The course will be run entirely by consultants and registrars. The lead consultant is Dr Vassilios Vassilio, Consultant Cardiologist and intercalation lead. The principal founders and organisers are Tanya Ta and Francesca Li from Norwich MedED. Provisional dates - Wed 12th, Thurs 13th, Fri 14th September Provisional timetable (please see facebook link for updated details closer to time): Wednesday 12th 3-4pm Dr Simon Rushbrook (Gastroenterology) 4-5pm Dr Vassilios Vassiliou (Cardiology) 5-6pm Dr Martin Lee (Neurology) 6-8pm Dr Mark Wilkinson (Pathology) Thursday 13th 5-7pm Dr Alex Brightwell (Paediatrics) 7-8:15pm Dr Adeline Rankin Friday 14th 5-6pm Dr Shaun Price (Emergencies) +Respiratory (TBC)+Renal (TBC) In order to secure your place, we require a £20.00 REFUNDABLE deposit that will be refunded following the course In order for us to issue these refunds, you must attend the conference in person and sign-in and sign-out at our registration desk for all talks of 3 days. We will also ask you to complete a pre-course questionnaire before the session to gauge how comfortable you are with med knowledge after time away from it. Then after the session, a post-course questionnaire to see how much the session has helped with your knowledge. We would be grateful if you could complete this! :) This will help future intercalators to know if this type of session will be useful for them in the years to come.
