JD is officially kicking off The JRC2018 Robotics Challenge, the infusive industry-level robotic event, in Silicon Valley on August 23rd, 2018. The purpose of Robotics Challenge is to accelerate the robotic development applied for smart logistics. This year, with the theme of “IF X”, JD will bring new challenges to the insiders and showcase top-notch intelligent logistics technology of JD Logistics. About 2018 JRC Robotics Challenge JRC Robotics Challenge was organized by JD X Business Division, spearheading the company’s automation services. JRC 2018 Robotics Challenge was held on June 26th. The competition includes a roadshow of kick-off competitions traveling throughout China's top universities and innovation centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Harbin, and lastly in Silicon Valley in August. The one day final competition event will be held early December, 2018, where 2 US finalists will be flown to Beijing to compete with the Chinese teams for top prizes.
