A year ago at the end of August 2017, Hurricane Harvey’s 5 day unprecedented rainfall flooded thousands of homes and displaced more than 50,000 people in the Greater Houston area. The resulting floods inflicted the highest cost ever in US history for a natural disaster of 125 $B. This tragedy presented challenges to the Houston-based community and organizations. Gratefully, it also brought out the best in people. On this one-year anniversary of the Harvey tragedy, the French American Chamber of Commerce (FACCH) and the Quebec Office in Houston (QOH), together with their partner Station Houston, are pleased to invite you to an evening discussion to understand how companies and Tech startups play an important role in times of critical environment and natural disasters.
