Designers rejoice! The Houston Design Center’s Designer Sample Sale, Houston’s highly anticipated annual summer design event, returns Thursday, August 23 through Sunday, August 26. But the design and trade community has First Dibs on Wednesday, August 22 with unprecedented savings on antiques, art, accessories, floor samples, residential furniture, lighting, Oriental rugs and more! This year’s event will benefit Dwell with Dignity, a charity committed to helping moms and their children transform lives through design. Dwell with Dignity designs and installs complete home interiors for families who desperately need a safe, functional and beautiful environment. Participating showrooms include Charlotte Nail Antiques, Dauphin Sales, Design House, Inc., James Craig Furnishings, Johnson Simon Resources, Lighting Treasures, MAI Memorial Antiques Interiors, Manchester Carpet, Off White Showroom, Scene One Interiors and Teri Pugh Studio. Don't miss the opportunity to learn about what's new in the world of presentation technology at "Lunch & Learn" with a seminar on "Audio Visual Design Considerations" with Eric Sundin, Conference Technologies. Earn one-hour AIA credit. The seminar is hosted by Johnson Simon Resources Showroom 161 and is followed by a light luncheon. Celebrate the kick-off of the Designer Sample Sale at "Wine & Design" benefiting Dwell with Dignity. Enjoy libations and light bites.
