Revelations: revealing the foundations of life will explore the latest developments in biology, both inside the research labs, as well as outside in the world of applied biology. This is an exciting Salon event that allows us to highlight San Diego's renowned biotech industry and gain a better understanding of what it means to be human. We have selected an extraordinary group of visionaries and thought leaders for this special event, with topics that range from synthetic viruses, to genome sequencing, personalized medicine, new cancer treatments, circadian rhythms, a potential cure for type 1 diabetes, and the future of neurotechnology. In addition to seating inside the theatre, we'll be simulcasting the event into an overflow room at the Salk Institute. This is due to the limited seating in the auditorium and the high demand we expect for this event.
