Soaring Above Galt ... The Galt Chamber of Commerce is excited to present its 1st Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival to be held at the McFarland Living History Ranch on August 11-12, 2018! The Balloon Festival will feature arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, commercial booths, public information booths, tethered rides, and of course, Hot Air Balloons! www.GaltBalloonFestival.com Our Sponsors Advance Tickets are $5 general admission, under 5 years old are free. At the Gate Tickets are $10, under 5 years old are free. VIP PARKING PASSES DO NOT INCLUDE ADMISSION TO THE FESTIVAL SATURDAY VIP PARKING IS SOLD OUT ONLINE. SUNDAY VIP PARKING IS STILL AVAILABLE ONLINE ADMISSION TICKETS AND VIP PARKING FOR BOTH DAYS IS AVAILABLE AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS IN GALT: The Coffee Shop Bakery 411 C Street The Galt Chamber of Commerce & The Galt Herald 604 N Lincon Way Express Type & Graphics 740 Spaans Drive #2 Limited number of VIP Parking Passes for McFarand Ranch $10. You must have a parking pass to park at the venue. NO PARKING PASSES WILL BE AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE FESTIVAL. If you do not purchase a VIP Parking Pass, you will have to park in the off-site lot at The Galt Market Grounds 610 Chaboola Avenue and use the shuttle service. Buses will begin loading at 4:30 AM. PARKING PASSES DO NOT INCLUDE ADMISSION INTO THE FESTIVAL. YOU MUST HAVE A SEPARATE ADMISSION TICKET FOR EACH PERSON IN THE VEHICLE. E-TICKETS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR TICKET WHICH WILL BE MAILED TO YOU. IF YOU "LOSE" YOUR TICKET, YOU WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE. Tickets purchased after August 1, 2018 will be available for pick-up at Will Call. Bring your recceipt or ID with you. Gates open at 5:00 AM. Balloons are scheduled to lift-off at sunrise. Balloons will fly weather permitting. This is at the discretion of the Hot Air Balloon Pilots. NO PETS ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR SERVICE ANIMALS. There will be 2 tethered balloons offering rides. Tickets will be $10 each, cash* only, and available for purchase at the Balloon Festival only. There are no pre-sale tickets available for the tethered Hot Air Balloon rides. *ATM will be available on-site. Individual vendors may accept credit cards. BALLOONS WILL FLY AT SUNRISE, WEATHER PERMITTING. THIS IS UP TO THE BALLOON PILOTS' DISCRETION. TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? This is a family friendly event. All ages are welcome What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There are a very limited number of $10 VIP Parking Passes available for parking at the venue. Parking passes do not include admission into the Festival. There will be satellite parking at The Galt Market Grounds 610 Chabolla Avenue in Galt. Free shuttle bus service will be available and there will be a wheelchair bus in the rotation. What can I bring into the event? No outside food or drink will be allowed. No ice chests. There will be food and drink at the Festival. There are no refunds. Balloons fly at sunrise, weather permitting. This is up to the pilot's discretion. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? E-Tickets will NOT be accepted. YOU MUST BRING YOUR HARD COPY TICKET WHICH WAS MAILED TO YOU. If you "forgot" your tickets, you will have to purchase more at the gate. If you purchased your tickets after August 1st, your tickets will be available at Will Call at the Festival Gate. You must have your receipt or ID to pick up Will Call tickets. Can I update my registration information? No. Once the tickets are been mailed out, the mailing address cannot be changed. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? There are no names on the tickets mailed out. Please bring your reciept or ID for Will Call tickets.
