The Women in Hydraulic Fracturing (WIHF), a Special Interest Circle of Lean In Energy, invites you to attend the first WIHF event, hosted by CARBO at its Technology Center in Houston, Texas on June 27, 2018. This is the first of several Special Interest Circles that will launch across the USA in 2018 and it's limited in size. About Lean In Energy & Women In Hydraulic Fracturing (WIHF)Lean In Energy is a leading global mentoring community for all women in energy. We are driving the LeanIn.org mission within the energy vertical, globally. Energy is an important resource that we all share and need to power our lives. This Lean In community brings women across the energy value chain together to learn from each other and to build a sustainable world as we undergo massive changes in our supply chain. From fossil fuel to clean tech energies, Lean In Energy circles aim to solve the next generation of challenges and drive new leadership. Special Interest Circles within Lean In Energy are function and discipline driven, allowing women to professionally connect and expand their knowledge in their field of expertise. Anyone is welcome to join an event put on by a given Special Interest Circle. The Women in Hydraulic Fracturing Special Interest Circle has several events planned throughout the 2018 calendar year. All events will be broadcasted globally so if you cannot attend in person you can attend online. The first event will be held and sponsored by CARBO in Houston on June 27, 2018. CARBO will be sharing information on their latest technology, a presentation on submitting SPE abstracts, and a tour of their research center is also included in the event. The agenda for this event includes: 11:00am – Arrival & Networking 11:15am – 11:30am: Introduction to Women in Hydraulic Fracturing, a Special Interest Circle of Lean In Energy 11:30am – 1:00pm: Technical Presentation & Lunch - Welcome & Introduction - Overview on CARBO's latest Fracturing Technologies, Don Conkle, Vice President Marketing & Sales - “Writing an SPE Paper Abstract and Getting Accepted” – Terry Palisch, SPE Technical Director Completions & CARBO Global Engineering Director - Q&A 1:00pm – 1:30pm: CARBO Technology Center Tour (max. 30 – must register separately) If you are unable to attend the session in Houston, sign up for the online option and click here to join us for our Live Webcast.
