Play, explore, and experiment at the Guerilla Science Sensorium—a dreamlike celebration of the human body and brain! Hear the sounds inside your head, taste your thoughts, and tangle up your tongue to explore the most complex thing in the universe: you! From bones to brains, and senses to skin, we're celebraing the spectrum of human experience during a sensuous weekend at the FIGMENT festival on Governors Island. We are delighted to return to FIGMENT, where we're transforming a disused officer's quarters into a cabinet of curiosities for the senses. Over the weekend we'll exhibit 20 small performances distributed across 10 rooms and a luscious lawn, in an otherworldy fusion of art and science! Embark on a unique journey to uncover some of the mysteries of how our bodies make us who we are. Drop-in consultations and interactive activities include creations from our 2018 residency in partnership with the Pratt Institute and supported by the National Science Foundation. Sensorium will also include Guerilla Science's most popular events. Don't miss out on this art and science extravaganza, bringing together experts in neuroscience, chemistry, medicine, performance art, yoga, and more! We hope to see you there! Ferries to Governors leave from 10 South Street in Manhattan every 30 minutes and Pier 6 in Brooklyn every hour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
