Florida Center for Cybersecurity 2018 Research Symposium April 3-4, 2018   University of South Florida Patel Center for Global Solutions (CGS) Tampa, Florida The Florida Center for Cybersecurity’s 2018 Research Symposium provides an opportunity for researchers from academia, industry and government to connect, share information about current cybersecurity research projects, and explore and learn about emerging areas of interest.  This year’s two-day event, taking place on the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida, features two keynote presentations, breakout and panel sessions, student posters, networking, and much more.  Seating is limited so register now.  - Event Schedule - View the event scheule here. - Keynote Speakers -  We’re pleased to announce this year’s keynote speakers: Thomas Holt, Ph.D.  Professor, School of Criminal Justice, Michigan State University Session Title: Understanding the Market and Operations of RDDoS Service Providers: Booters and Stressers in Action   Ravi Sandhu, Ph.D.  Executive Director and Chief Scientist, Institute for Cyber Security (ICS), University of Texas at San Antonio Session Title: Attribute-Based Access Control: Insights and Challenges - Student Posters -  Students from across the state of Florida will be displaying posters featuring their cybersecurity research efforts. These posters will be on display in Traditions Hall at the Gibbons Alumni Center at USF. This building is where our 2018 Research Symposium lunches, reception and networking will take place and is adjacent to the Patel Center for Global Solutions (CGS) where the 2018 Research Symsposium sessions will be taking place. For the complete list of students that will be participating, please visit our website. - Parking - Parking spots will be reserved for registered attendees in USF Sundome Lot 22D near the Patel Center for Global Solutions (CGS) building. No permit is required as long as you park in the 2018 Research Symposium reserved spots. Those that do not park in the reserved spots may be subject to parking fines from USF Parking Services and any fees will be the responsibility of the attendee. Please follow these simple instructions: Enter the USF Sundome Parking Lot 22 from USF Alumni Drive. Please see the parking map for reference. Park in any available spot in Lot 22D that has been reserved for the FC2 2018 Research Symposium. After you’ve parked, please proceed to the Patel Center for Global Solutions (CGS) to check-in at event registration.  Important: We ask that USF students and employees use their USF parking permits when appropriate to leave as many reserved event spaces as possible available for off-campus guests. Registration and networking begin at 8:30 AM on both days so please leave ample time to enter campus, locate the parking lot and walk to the event venue. Check our website for updates and additional information. Please note: Registrants will receive an email with parking instructions and other important information prior to the event. Refund Policy: Your registration fee permits attendance to the two-day event and includes parking and lunch both days. No pro-rated tickets or single days tickets will be offered. Cancellations and requests for reimbursement of registration fees must be received no later than 5:00 pm EST, Monday, March 19.  Registrants cancelling their registrations after that time are not eligible for refunds.
