The Opportunity Youth Job Fair will offer immediate job opportunities with over 30 Portland and SW Washington-based employers. The following businesses have already committed to attend: Alaska Airlines, Amazon, Aramark Food Services, Boys & Girls Club, Canopy Portland Pearl District, Charter Communications, FedEx, Fred Meyer, Graybar, IBEW Local 48, Macys, Marriott Hotels, Nines Hotel, Nordstrom, Northwest Youth Corps, OR & SW WA Roofers & Waterproofers Apprenticeship, Oregon Home Care Commission, Oregon Tradeswomen, Portland Parks and Recreation, Provenance Hotels, Renewal by Anderson, Sage Hospitality, Salt and Straw, Snyder Roofing, Starbucks, Target, Timberline Lodge, United States Army, UPS and more to come! Collectively, the employers who have registered for the Fair have indicated that they have over 1000 openings they'll be attempting to fill. If you are between the ages of 16 and 24 and are looking for work or training opportunities, this Job Fair is for you! Full-time, Part-time and Seasonal Jobs Paid Internships GED and High School Completion Job-hunting Resources Information and registration for SummerWorks – 180 hour paid internships available with hundreds of Portland companies, nonprofit organizations, and local government. Skills Village – Assistance with filling out job applications and practice interviews. Resource Corner – Information on transportation discounts, childcare, housing, expunging records, job-related dress, training programs, and MORE. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? The Opportunity Youth Job Fair is targeted at youth and young adults ages 16-24. There is no official age requirement or ID needed to enter the event. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Portland’s TriMet MAX light rail stops 300 times a day at the Oregon Convention Center, connecting riders to downtown, surrounding neighborhoods, the Oregon Zoo, and Portland International Airport. Portland Streetcar’s Central Loop stops at the MLK lobby entrance every 15 minutes. Also, at the MLK lobby entrance, TriMet’s Bus Line No. 6 provides access to downtown stops and outlining areas.
