His research focuses on monetary economics, macroeconomics, labor economics, and search and matching theory. In particular, he has applied agent-based dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models to study inflation, price dispersion, interest rates, and asset pricing. Currently, he is working on the effect of monetary policy on unemployment and the overall labor market when there are trading frictions in the financial market. His work has been published in leading economics journals and presented at renowned international conferences. Liang has completed his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania.
