Bay Path University is delighted to share the theme of our 23rd Annual Bay Path University Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC), Be Curious. This year’s WLC theme focuses on cultivating curiosity as the ultimate key to inspiring a forward-thinking workforce and highly productive work environment. Learning to question and take risks can lead to breakthrough innovations. Demonstrating an active interest in colleagues helps to strengthen relationships and build teams. Throughout the day our speakers will share how embracing uncertainty and seeing each day as a positive opportunity to discover, learn and grow can lead to a happier work place and a happier life. Announcing our closing Keynote, Lena Waithe, Emmy Award Winning Writer, Actor and Producer. Lena Waithe is one of Hollywood’s most promising up-and-coming talents, who continues to grow her body of work with diversity, charisma, and comedy. We are excited to have Lena close out this year's Women's Leadership Conference to bring us inside her story, to learn how she "crafts multifaceted human beings who inspire compassion and curiosity"*, and to be inspired by the firsts that she has accomplished, through hard work and authentic storytelling. Social psychologist and Harvard faculty member, Amy Cuddy, will open the day by sharing her findings from years of observing human behavior and body language. Her TED Talk on the topic became the second most watched talk of all time. She will bring us up-to-date on her life and work since that time. Over lunch, several women leaders will be interviewed for their life stories and their path to leadership; including Nancy Shendell-Falik, RN, MA, president of Baystate Medical Center, Lisa Tanzer, president of Life is Good, and Kirk Arnold, serial tech entrepreneur. Four focus sessions with nationally recognized speakers on accountability, self-awareness, drama in the workplace, and nurturing workforce innovation will be offered throughout the day. Now entering its 23rd year, the WLC is the region’s premiere women’s leadership event for professional and personal networking, skill-building and enrichment, attracting up to 2,000 attendees annually. The WLC has featured over the years, 160 prominent speakers including Barbara Walters, Arianna Huffington, Queen Latifah, and Dr. Madeleine Albright.
