This contest is a preliminary round leading to the Superdemo contest at EdCon for projects based in greater New York City. He was previously Head of Seed Investing at betaworks, a startup studio that created companies like bitly, Chartbeat, Dots, Giphy, Tweetdeck and others. He's been an active investor and builder in the blockchain community since 2013, and Notation is an active investor in blockchain companies and cryptoassets directly through their funds. Don Mosites, Co-founder, Airswap: Don is a serial entrepreneur, product designer and full-stack engineer with more than a decade of experience building products for companies small and large including Google and Zynga. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon and is originally from Pittsburgh. Lane Rettig, Founder, Crypto NYC: In addition to helping run Crypto NYC, Lane is also an Ethereum core developer focused on web assembly and the Ethereum virtual machine. Lane has an MBA from the Wharton School and co-founded Seratis, a healthcare technology company that was acquired in 2016. Santiago Siri, Founder, Democracy Earth Foundation: Santi founded Democracy Earth, a Y Combinator backed non-profit building incorruptible digital governance technology, and the Partido de la Red (Peers Party), the first digital political party that ran for elections with candidates committed to people's will online. He is partner of Bitex.la, a leading Bitcoin fintech company in Latin America. He published 'Hacktivismo' in 2015 with Random House. He has been a member of the World Economic Forum since 2012. he was awarded by MIT Technology Review 35 under 35 leading innovators of Latin America.
