As part of Canada 150 and in the spirit of reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada, we invite you to be part of an important plenary on the Truth and Reconciliation’s (TRC) Call To Actions taking place in Fredericton, NB on Dec 6, 2017 at the Fredericton Crowne Plaza. This plenary will be dedicated to the TRC Calls to Action that relate to economic development and labour market. The plenary will host approximately 100 representatives from Indigenous communities, government, private sector and industry. This significant event will: Increase awareness of regional Indigenous history; Share Current best practices relating to employment and partnerships; Discuss opportunities to review internal policies to increase understanding and retention; Identify opportunities to work with Indigneous communities, organizations and peoples; Create a plan of action specific to incorporating the TRC Calls to Action into government departments, public and private organizations.
