Building robots, designing video games, learning how to start a business, engineering, and programming computer software! These are just a few of the opportunities that await Scouts at the 4th annual STEM Merit Badge College! Each Scout will take one STEM merit badge at this event that will expose them to a STEM field and encourage them to explore the subject more, as a hobby or future career. All classes are taught by experts in the field represented by their merit badge so Scouts are getting exposed to career professionals in STEM fields. Registration for Boy Scouts includes the program, lunch, and a patch! The fee for Scouts is $14 but only through November 17th. After that time, the Early Bird discount will end and the fee will increase to $18 per Scout. Participants should only register for one class as they will take the whole day to complete. Scouts who complete prerequisites and fully participate at the event should complete their chosen merit badge that day. Prerequisites for classes will be announced in the upcoming weeks via email to all registered participants. Refunds are available with a written request to [email protected] up to 10 days before the event (by November 24th). The only exception to the policy will be the case of illness, accident and/or death in the family and that cancellation must be called in the day before the event. Refunds cannot be transferred to future events or functions. Please note, a 5% cancellation fee will be charged on all refunds granted to cover cost of processing. Since classes are held indoors, the event will take place in the event of inclement weather unless it is deemed unsafe by event leadership. If the event is held as planned, refunds for inclement weather will not be issued. Don't hesitate to register as spaces will fill up quickly!
