Historical Survey of Processing elements focusing on Computing since last 30 years.  This presentation will explore origin of Early Personal Computing Devices to today's Mobile Compute platforms.  I will compare and contrast CPU, DSP, FPU, and GPU and how they've changed over the years. John Min, Solution Engineer MIPS Tech Inc. Previous Director of Processor Technology Marketing, Imagination Technologies   John Min is the Solution Engineer of MIPS Tech Inc. He was Director of Processor Technology Marketing at Imagination. He joined the company as Director of Solution Engineering with the acquisition of MIPS Technologies, Inc. in 2013. At MIPS, Min was Solution Architect Director. Previously, Min held senior technical roles at HP, LG Electronics and other CPU focused companies. He has spent his career in the processing field for both DSPs and general purpose CPUs. Min holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
