Details Participants are responsible for their own lunch, travel and lodging. Operator Tracks: ADEQ Rule Review Session – Essential for both operators and owners or managers of PWSs. Covers important drinking water rules and regulations applicable to all Arizona Public Water Systems. ADEQ staff will discuss reporting requirements, revised total coliform rule, NEW- Wastewater topics, stage 2 disinfection byproducts, common drinking water reporting mistakes and more. Operator Training – Designed for current water or wastewater operators or those planning to become a certified operator. Current operators earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs) toward certificate renewals. Topic: Water Treatment- both days Treatment Plant Tour -- Tour on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 8:30-10:30. Meet at 925 Port Drive. Lake Havasu City’s water treatment plant is designed for a production capability of up to 26 mgd. Water was produced at an average of 11.40 million gallons per day in 2016 to satisfy the city’s potable water needs. The plant is designed primarily to remove manganese from Lake Havasu City’s drinking water supply and to reduce arsenic levels to meet the EPA established MCL standard of 10 ppb (ug/L).
