You are invited to IFLY KANSAS CITY to experience our STEM Field Trip OPEN HOUSE Educators come experience how flying accelerates learning with iFLY's STEM Education program during our STEM Open House! We will explore the STEM principles behind our wind tunnel technology through exciting lectures, test flights, and lab activities. We will have snacks and refreshments for all participants, as well as activities for those that are not flying. The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Education program at iFLY uses iFLY’s unique vertical wind tunnel facility to make STEM exciting, relevant, and accessible to all students. Engaging Presentations & Lab Activity Highly trained STEM Educators will guide your students through an interactive presentation, demos in the wind tunnel, and a grade-appropriate lab activity. Our field trips are hands-on and inquiry-based, and designed to get students excited about STEM. Flight Safety Training & FLYING! Every child will be trained by our ace flight instructors, who are certified to IBA flight standards, before entering the tunnel for their flights! iFLY STEM Field Trip Video Ticket 1: Free - Stem Education Overview and Flight Demo Ticket 2: $10.00 - Stem Education Overview, Flight Demo, and 1 Flight **Book your classrrooms fieldtrip from this invite or attending the STEM OPEN HOUSE and the teacher flies FREE! What is the agenda for the event? Wednesday, January 10th 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM 5:30pm Arrival and Check in 5:45pm Ball demonstration 6:00 to 7:30pm Flight class, test flights, presentation, and lab What is the proper attire? Comfortable clothing and tied tennis shoes What are the restrictions to flying? Flyers must be over 3 years of age. Participants must weigh less than 300 pounds. Participants who weigh between 260 and 300 pounds must bring this to the attention of an iFLY representative as additional restrictions and instructor scheduling limitations may apply. Women who are pregnant should not fly. Folks with recent shoulder dislocations, back, neck and heart problems should check with a doctor before flying. Click here for a complete list of restrictions.
