Men’s Business Forum January 25, 2017, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kroc Center, Coeur d’Alene Speaker: Wayne Williams, President and CEO of Telect Inc., Liberty Lake “Turning Business Scars Into Stars” In 1982 Wayne began working in his father’s company, Telect, Inc., and was named President in 1994. He saw rapid growth to 2400 employees, initiated and halted a failed IPO, led the company through the dot-com bust—which necessitated laying off 1700 employees worldwide (including family members), fought bankruptcy, and nearly sold the business three times. In 2012 Wayne cruised across the country on his Harley for 49 days, visiting nearly 900 customers in 32 cities and covering 11,000 miles. Wayne will talk about cash flow management and the economic death that can come, crazy life lessons and how to use those experiences to grow, and why some of your most attentive and difficult customers can make you better. This event is targeted towards men who are business owners or key leaders within a business. The event includes lunch. After the speaker’s presentation, discussions around each table will be held, focusing on pre-set questions about the main issues Wayne raises.
