Impact Engine Community Showcase Impact Engine is excited to present a Community Showcase on Tuesday, January 31st, from 5:45 to 9 p.m. We will highlight Chicago funds that invest for both financial and social return. Each fund will also highlight an investment that will demonstrate this focus on dual return. Energy Foundry invests venture capital in today’s most promising energy innovators and works with the world’s leading energy companies to build and scale new ventures. Ekistic Ventures is a $15 million venture capital fund that will invest in seed-stage companies bringing new solutions to critical urban problems and making cities more equitable and efficient. Furthur Fund is designed to foster and fund practical innovation in healthcare by using a unique, collaborative, and market-driven approach. Impact Engine is a venture fund that invests financial and human capital in early-stage, for-profit technology businesses improving education, health, economic empowerment, and resource efficiency. SLoFIG is a network of angel investors who share the mission of using private investment to re-establish a robust, sustainable local food system across the Chicago foodshed, while realizing a profitable return.
