The Exploratorium's Teacher Institute presents: Making Science Count: Integrating Math into an NGSS Classroom Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Exploratorium We think about math as the language of science. Through analyzing and interpreting data and using mathematical and computational thinking, students can experience how math is a tool that helps explain the world around us. Discover engaging, hands-on ways to integrate math Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) into your middle- or high-school classroom. Join the Exploratorium's Teacher Institute for a full-day conference, which features: a plenary session your choice of three hands-on workshops activities you can use in your classroom to engage students and meet the new standards A light breakfast and full lunch are included, and you'll leave with handouts of the activities covered in all of the sessions. One semester unit of Continuing Education credit is also available for an additional fee (to be paid at the conference).
