On Wednesday , January 18th, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will offer free training on the HUBZone Program. This Government Contracting Program was created to stimulate economic growth in certain geographic areas. Eligible small businesses can gain preferential treatment in the federal marketplace. Program criteria was recently changed and Small Businesses with an office located in Bath, Brunswick, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Durham, Freeport, Harpswell, Lisbon, Topsham may be eligible to participate in the HUBZone Program.
